Bottom line: A nice little shop with a fair selection. Sadly the customer service and resident dogs are enough to ruin the experience and to make you want to spend your money elsewhere.
Really not a great shop sells cheap guitars at higher prices and will complain about anything that he doesnt perfer also the service is lousy as well, his wife seemed irritated just to ring me up for a simple purchase.
I have periodically used this business when I have been in a bind with animal supplies and couldn't wait for the two day shipping from Amazon.
This is one of the best places to shop don't let the few negative idiots discourage you from trying them.
Come here anytime I need anything for my fish tank. Very nice owner.
To the one complaining about being treated like trash because you wouldn't drop a ton of money down and you were going to buy a starter set how about this when I went in recently to buy separate pieces a 5 gallon tank filter gravel net thermometer Etc she actually suggested I buy a starter set I asked her the price and she told me 60 bucks then I asked her how many gallons which she answered 10 I only wanted a 5 gallon but opted to do the 10 gallon starter set because she said I would be spending just as much money on the 5 gallon.
My go-to place when I need anything for my aquarium. I have been coming here for years and have never had a problem at all. She is quick to answer questions and to help in any way she can. Much cheaper to go here then even Amazon. The fools complaining about the dogs must not like animals. The dog was the first one who greeted me when I came in and I had no problem with the dog she even let me pet her she is quite friendly.
The female owner is about as friendly as the dogs. Most times I have shopped there she has been fairly unwelcoming, indifferent, and often unhelpful when answering questions (short, one word answers with a curt tone). I have attempted to make conversation with her while checking out and it has always been akward and forced. The man who works there is more friendly, though I have only seen him once.
My major issue is the atmosphere/professionalism of the store. The owner allows their small dogs to free roam their store and they are not overly personable dogs. Don't get me wrong, I love dogs. But these dogs don't seem well socilaized when it comes to strangers. They immediately bark and nervously stare at you upon entering the store and continue to follow you around, barking, as you browse around. They are not what I would categorize as "friendly" dogs and I would be hesitant to try to pet them. I also would be worried to bringing children into the shop.
I do have to say that they have a fairly diverse selection of pet supplies and fish, especially for being such a small shop. Pricing was a little higher than what you can find online but it is on par with what other pet stores charge. I do enjoy supporting local businesses and initially I had planned to shop here more often, though after a few visits I decided against it.
To those complaining she's rude I had two bags of items and a 10 gallon starter set to carry out I was trying to put the bags down on the ground to get the 10 gallon starter kit and she picked up the kit carried it out to my car while I carried the bags.
Love this place. The owner is very nice and very helpful. I'm only two years into the aquarium hobby and she's been very kind in answering my questions.
