The final piece was their inability to honor a discount that was originally promised over the phone causing us to pay way more than we should have for a stay that was far from luxurious.
The first and biggest issue was the noise level. There was a frieght train that ran right behind the hotel. And it ran all day and all night long. The entire building shook when I went by.
While the front desk staff was wonderful there were several issues with his hotel during our stay.
A five star review because the Huntingdon Comfort Inn is exactly what you might expect it to be. It follows through on its promised accommodations... which is to say a clean room and a comfy bed and not much else. I'd stay again because of the cheap rates and close proximity to town and the helpful, kind staff. Beyond that, there's not much more to report.
And the next was the pool area. The pool was so hot inside that the chemicals from the pool made your eyes tear up when entering. Once in the pool it was so heavily cloranated that it made swimming unbearable.
The second issue was the cleaning crew who during our stay didn't even make up our bed. All that was done was pull out cover over the bed and it was lumpy and very unprofessional. They didn't even fluff the pillows? I get not changing sheets each day but really? Made me question how clean anything was?
The comfort inn was clean. The breakfasts was very good the person taking care of it was very attentive. The parking was ok we had a boat so it was a little tight but other than that it was very good.
Always friendly staff. Very clean hotel. But for the first time in years, the breakfast didn't seem as fresh.
The rooms were spacious and clean. Easy to find, good location.
